The Fashion at the 2024 Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival’s Opening Night Was Fabulous

As we approach National Indigenous History Month, the 2024 Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival (IFA) has officially launched at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, bringing vibrant energy to the heart of the city.

The festival opened in spectacular fashion on Wednesday night with a red carpet brimming with colorful and striking Indigenous designs. Artists, designers, and socialites alike arrived in style, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

Later, the mall’s grounds transformed into a stunning runway where talented designers, including the visionary Kayla Smith and Rhonda Johnson, showcased their beautifully crafted creations. The collection of looks that graced the catwalk celebrated the richness of Indigenous cultures and artistry, leaving the audience in awe.

This year marks the festival’s fourth edition, and it promises to be more exciting than ever. Running from May 30 to June 2, the event will bring together over 1,000 artists, designers, and makers from across the globe. Attendees can look forward to breathtaking fashion shows, engaging panels, hands-on workshops, and a curated marketplace brimming with must-have items.
