I am the Creative Director and Founder of K. Lookinghorse. As a proud member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, I was born and raised in Fort Yates, North Dakota. My work is deeply rooted in storytelling, blending the past, present, and future to create a community-driven fashion brand inspired by the lived experiences of Indigenous peoples. Designing fashion has always been a dream of mine, and I am honored to bring it to life.
Culture has been my greatest inspiration. As a full-blooded Hunkpapa Lakota/Dakota woman, I channel my heritage into every aspect of the brand. Based in Southampton, New York, K.Lookinghorse represents not just a fashion label but a celebration of identity and resilience.
Founded in 2020 and officially launched in January 2022, K.Lookinghorse made its debut on the New York Fashion Week runway in February 2022. Since then, the brand has graced the stages of Indigenous fashion showcases and Phoenix Fashion Week in October 2023. Our Timeless Collection features bespoke and ready-to-wear designs that empower wearers while spotlighting authentic Indigenous artistry.
